Her belief system:

As a child, Jhanvi has been exposed to the subject of Ayurveda in her family where most of common health ailments were cured through home remedies and not medications. She strongly believes that food has a medicinal value, which is the basis on which our Indian cooking system evolved. Over the recent years, with the influence of the Western culture and an unavoidable exposure to the packaged food industry, there has been a change in the way we look at food.

Food has now become more of a status value than of nutritional value – the more exotic you eat, the more “conscious & well travelled” you are – which is the recent trend. However, the reality lies in the fact that health and nutrition cannot be bought over the counter or from food stores. Learning and understanding that the best diet is the one in which food is cooked at your home and not in someone else’s kitchen, forms the basis of Jhanvi’s program.

Simple and easy to follow diet plans, which can be followed at any stage of your life, whether you are at home, travelling, PMSing, shifting houses, living in a foreign country with Indian roots – it’s possible to keep up with all of this and much more. The trick lies in simplifying the diet and not complicating it, which makes it sustainable.
